How come sometimes you can be so sure you’re going to fail, or be less than, or even excluded and rejected from the group or community. How come you think the worst before you even tried it. Or maybe you tried and failed. What does that mean. How does that define you.
The way we act sometimes one would’ve thought we don’t belong. We are not from here. And we certainly aren’t enough. Let’s play with the thought of who we are, what we are and how we’ve developed over time. We are humans created by our surroundings. We came out of this world. We’ve adapted and evolution has been our dance. How would you still be here if you weren’t enough. If you weren’t just the right amount. You wouldn’t have survived, adapted and overcome whatever obstacle that has been put in front of you for lifetimes, decades, centuries.
So while you’re here you are dancing the dance of evolution. You. Yes you, are doing it. You are here to be great - doing all the things you never could imagine or foreseen. You are here to do the impossible. I really do believe that doubt comes from our own lack of belief in our divinity. We forget who we are, where we came from and what we’re made of. Our souls know. It has always known. But our minds do not remember.
Ego is the joke of life. On one hand it’s our way of identifying as individuals. On the other hand it’s our prison of limitations. The ego is limited to whatever belief you have of yourself. The beliefs become the walls you built that then become the house, the mansion or room you live in. Freedom is knowing this and therefor not taking yourself too seriously. Being able to laugh at and have fun with whatever your mind is burping up. The saying 'Don’t believe everything you hear' includes what your mind whispers to you as well.
Let’s play with the thought that you once did something that went terribly wrong. Something horrible, unforgivable, selfish, out of fear, jealousy, resentment, hate or pain; something out of darkness. You’ve recognized it as coming from a place of lack. From a place of less than. What does that make you. Who are you if you’ve done such an unforgivable thing. Well, we all have both light and darkness inside of us. One cannot exist without the other. The darkness is the beauty of light and the light the beauty of darkness. They complete each other. They are one. Love doesn’t only love one and exclude the other.
This is the duality of life. The play. The dance. How it is and needs to be. The pain the darkness evokes is the same place the light enters you. Knowing you have acted out of lack you also know the light is within you. You can ride that wave too. Let it fill you up. Although, the light strikes you with its grace when you let your heart lead the way. When you choose to rise above your self doubt. When you trust yourself fully and completely. That’s when the light shines through you. When you remember who you are.
You can identify with your small self or with the infinite force that you are. Who is telling you that you can not do, can not overcome, can not rise above. The same one that can not come with you. The same one that can’t look at the light without being illuminated by it. The same one that needs to be left behind for you to shine. Your soul knows what your ego can’t remember. You already know this. Remember.
